Do you take insurance?

Session rates vary based on the service you are seeking and length of session, but generally range from $250-$350.

Dr. Ollen is an out-of-network provider and does not bill insurance directly. This means you pay for services up front. Most PPO insurances with out-of-network benefits will reimburse a percentage of that fee to you.

Depending on the insurance carrier and plan, insurance may cover anywhere from 50-70% of session costs. If you would like, a superbill will be sent to you which you can submit to your insurance carrier for reimbursement.

How do I use a superbill?

Clients are responsible for payment of fees at the time of service. It is recommended that clients contact their insurance company in advance to inquire about “out of network” benefits for therapy by asking the following questions (1) Do I have mental health benefits? (2) Do I have out of network benefits? If so, what are they? (3) How many sessions are covered per calendar years? (4) What is my deductible and has it been met?

After a client pays for the therapy services, the client can submit the superbill to the insurance company. Superbills contain all the relevant information in an insurance-friendly format. The insurance company will process the claim and depending on the subscriber’s benefits, provide a check directly to the client for reimbursement. The most common billing codes applicable to the services provided by Dr. Ollen are: Initial Consultation – 90791; Individual Therapy – 90834

Are sessions held online or in-person?

Dr. Ollen provides Telehealth services across the country in most states. She is licensed in multiple states including California (PSY31077), Utah (#12507252-2501), and New Hampshire (#1761). She also holds a PSYPact license (PSYPact E.Passport #10635) — a psychology licensing consortium which allows cross-state practice in over 40 other states.

Depending on availability, Dr. Ollen is able to offer limited options for in-person Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) and Relationship Checkups in West Los Angeles and Santa Barbara.
